Dr. Anna Kuberczyk

Veterinarian (DVM)
Dr Anna

Hello, I'm Dr Anna. I moved with my family to Australia from Poland in late 2022 to join the Federation team.

Becoming a veterinarian was my childhood dream. I knew my career from 3 years old and, when asked about my future job, have never answered anything else. Helping animals can be challenging but incredibly rewarding. It's a bit like solving a puzzle, but when the pieces begin to match, the patient gets better and the client breathes a sigh of relief it's the best feeling.

I studied veterinary medicine in Poland and in Spain, graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). In 2014 after 5 semesters of specialization study I was granted the title of Specialist in Equine Diseases, and in 2017 I finished 5 semesters of specialization in Diseases of Ruminants. Since 2018, as part of my preparations to emigrate and work in Australia, I took part in various courses and internships in the field of small animal medicine. In 2020 I passed the Australian Veterinary Examination verifying my knowledge and skills in the field of veterinary medicine to work in Australia. I'm an eternal learner who loves to complete courses, webinars, and read specialist articles to further my knowledge.

After my graduation I worked for 5 years in ambulatory equine practice that provided veterinary care for approximately 1,000 horses. Later I became a mixed vet and worked for 2.5 years in two rural practices primarily treating dairy cattle patients, including herd health management. In 2017 I was lucky enough to take on a 3-month contract at Prince Khaled's specialist equine hospital in Saudi Arabia. My latest career challenge brought me all the way to Corowa; my role at Federation Veterinary Hospital!

Outside of work my passions expand into an array of sports including horse riding, swimming, running, tennis, and snowboarding. From 2018, 2020, and 2021 my husband and I have three new passions in our lives; our wonderful sons – Jan, Konstanty, and Maksymilian (Max). We're all animal lovers who have always been accompanied by animals, including 3 horses, 2 dogs, pet goats, sheep, and hens at our Poland home. Sadly, just the five of us got to go to Australia, and parting with my pets was extremely hard. Meeting with our patients and their families and seeing their friendly faces has thankfully helped my longing some!
